Trusted Atlanta Professionals
Some jobs are bigger than handyman work (a panel upgrade, a sewer line, a whole roof, a new kitchen), and some questions aren’t about the house at all: who should sell it, insure it, or write the will that passes it on. Either way we don’t hand you a directory. We give you the two or three companies and people we actually call ourselves, with a note on why, what we send them, where they work, and when we last checked. No one pays to be on this page.
These are independent businesses and you contract with them directly; one is affiliated with us and is marked as such. Details in About These Referrals.
Why These Companies, and Not a Directory
Real Working Relationships
We’ve stood in the same driveway as these crews. They’re the companies we hand our own customers to when a job is past what a handyman should touch.
One or Two Per Category
A list of twenty roofers is no help. You get the two or three we’d call for our own house, and nothing else.
Licensed Where It Matters
Electrical, plumbing and residential contracting are state-licensed trades in Georgia. Roofing isn’t, so we tell you which certifications stand in for a license.
Checked and Dated
Each card shows when we last confirmed the website, phone number and stated licensing or insurance. If a company slips, they come off the page.
Roofing
Where the line is: We repair fascia, soffit and rotted trim, and we’ll replace a handful of shingles after a storm. Full replacements, insurance claims, metal roofs and gutter systems get referred.
Atlanta Ridge Roofing
Last verified: October 2026
Disclosure: Atlanta Ridge Roofing is the roofing brokerage of Your Handyman Atlanta. It costs you nothing: the roofing companies pay it a commission out of the job, the bids are never marked up, and you sign with and pay the roofer you pick directly.
“Full disclosure: this is our roofing brokerage, so weigh the endorsement accordingly. We built it because getting a roof replaced shouldn’t be a part-time job. One email and they bring three vetted roofing companies to your house, hold all three to the same good, better, best scope, and hand you the actual bids with the companies named and nothing marked up. They’re on site for every visit, and they walk the finished roof with you before anyone gets paid.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Licensed Electrical
Where the line is: We swap fixtures, replace switches and outlets like-for-like, and hang ceiling fans. Anything that touches the panel, adds a circuit, or involves old wiring gets referred.
Zero Electric Design
Last verified: September 2026“When a job touches the panel, needs new circuits, or the house has old wiring we shouldn’t be guessing at, Paul is the call. Thirty years in and he still treats remodel wiring like craftsman work: clean, thought-out, and done right the first time.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Phone Systems, Networks & IT
Where the line is: We mount the TV, fish a cable through a wall and swap a dead router off the shelf. Dedicated Ethernet runs through a house, wired camera systems, business phone systems, wireless that has to cover a whole building, VPNs and anything touching servers or company data goes to SOHO DVC.
SOHO DVC (Data & Voice Consulting)
Last verified: October 2026“Plenty of our calls turn out to be a network, a camera or a computer problem, and that is where Jon and his crew come in. They run hardwired Ethernet through houses, put in wired camera systems, handle office phones, and they will even sort out a homeowner’s everyday computer trouble. They actually pick up the phone, and they explain the fix in plain English instead of tech talk.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Major Plumbing & Sewer
Where the line is: We handle faucets, toilets, disposals, supply lines, P-traps and caulk. Water heaters, repipes, anything under the slab or in the main line, and true 24/7 emergencies get referred.
The Civilized Plumber
Last verified: September 2026“Dale quotes a price and that’s the price: no surprises once the wall is open. For water heaters and anything beyond a fixture swap on the east side of town, he’s who we send our customers to.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Benjamin Franklin Plumbing
Last verified: September 2026“For the 2 a.m. sewer backup, a gas line, or a main-line camera job, you want a shop with trucks on the road around the clock. Their punctuality guarantee isn’t a gimmick, it’s why we’re comfortable sending customers to them for emergencies.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Water & Fire Restoration
Where the line is: Once the water is out and the structure is dry, we rebuild: drywall, trim, doors, paint. The extraction, drying, mold remediation and insurance documentation is restoration work and gets referred first.
All Dry Services of Atlanta
Last verified: September 2026“When a water heater lets go or a pipe bursts, the clock matters more than anything. All Dry gets a crew out fast, documents everything for the insurance claim, and hands the house back to us dry so we can put it back together.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Major Renovations & Additions
Where the line is: We do the punch list, the trim, the drywall and the paint. Kitchens, bathrooms, additions and anything that needs permits, engineered plans or a licensed residential contractor gets referred.
TCW Homes
Last verified: September 2026“Todd’s team is who we send people to when the answer is ‘this is a remodel, not a repair.’ Design-build under one roof, seven straight years of Best of Houzz, and the finished kitchens speak for themselves.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Home Forge Remodeling
Last verified: September 2026“Twenty years, nine hundred projects, full-time crews instead of a rotating cast of subs, and the price is agreed before anyone picks up a hammer. That’s the remodeler we’d want in our own house.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Flooring
Where the line is: We fix a squeaky subfloor, replace a few damaged planks, and install transitions and thresholds. Whole-room and whole-house flooring goes to a flooring company with a showroom and a dedicated install crew.
Floor Coverings International of South Atlanta
Last verified: September 2026“Carly and Miguel bring the showroom to your living room, so you’re picking a floor in the light it’ll actually live in. Good install crews, honest about which product fits which room, and a real warranty behind it.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Whole-House & Exterior Painting
Where the line is: We paint rooms, trim, doors and touch-ups by the hour. A full exterior, cabinet refinishing, or a whole-house repaint that needs a multi-person crew for a week goes to a dedicated painting company.
That 1 Painter — Atlanta
Last verified: September 2026“When a customer wants the whole exterior done, or the kitchen cabinets sprayed, we’d rather they get a crew built for it than pay us by the hour for a week. That 1 Painter shows up with a team, and the three-year warranty transfers if you sell.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Wallpaper Installation
Where the line is: We patch the drywall and paint the trim. Hanging the wallpaper itself, from a powder room to a papered ceiling, grasscloth or a full mural, goes to Lew. See her recent work in our wallpaper installation gallery.
Lew Wayne Poirier
Last verified: October 2026Pressure Washing & Exterior Cleaning
Where the line is: We repair the deck, the fence and the rotted trim. Whole-house soft washing, driveways, windows and large staining jobs go to a crew set up for it.
Atlanta Power Shine
Last verified: September 2026“Tyler’s crew soft-washes houses instead of blasting the siding, and they’re who we point people to when a deck or fence needs cleaning and staining. Easy to work with, and they show up when they say they will.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Moonstone Pressure Washing
Last verified: September 2026“Our west-side referral for pressure and soft washing. If you’re out toward Lithia Springs, Douglasville, Austell or Mableton, Moonstone covers ground our other partners don’t.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Custom Window Treatments & Upholstery
Where the line is: We mount rods, brackets and blinds. Custom drapery, roman shades, motorized treatments and reupholstery get referred.
Taylor Design Consultants
Last verified: September 2026
“We hang the rods and mount the hardware; Joann makes the drapery. Custom, motorized, roman shades, reupholstery, she’s been doing it since 1991 and it shows in the finish work. If you want window treatments that look built for the room, this is who we recommend.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Recurring Household Upkeep
Where the line is: Our Monthly Maintenance Plan covers the repair side: an hour of handyman work every month. For the day-to-day household chores that eat a week, there’s a different kind of company.
Abode Upkeep
Last verified: September 2026“We fix the house; Abode keeps it running. Twice-weekly upkeep for families with full calendars: the laundry, the reset, the hundred small things that pile up between our visits. Our maintenance-plan customers who use them tend to keep both.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Moving & Junk Removal
Where the line is: We’ll assemble the furniture, hang the TV and patch the nail holes on either end of a move. The truck, the crew and the hauling-away are a mover’s job.
The Berry Best Movers
Last verified: September 2026“Careful with the furniture, careful with the door frames, and they’ll haul off what you’re not taking with you. We send them the customers who are moving in or out of a house we’ve worked on.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Real Estate Agents
Where the line is: We knock out pre-listing punch lists and post-inspection repair lists for agents every week. When a customer asks who should sell their house or help them find the next one, these are the names we give.
Schmidt’s Creek Realty
Last verified: September 2026
“A small Decatur brokerage that actually returns calls. Jason and Summer work the buyer side hard, Dan keeps the deal on the rails, and they tell clients the truth about what a house needs before the inspection does.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Leigh Hays, Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty
Last verified: September 2026
“Licensed since 1996 and an Inman Park resident for most of that time. If the house is intown and the stakes are high, Leigh is who we’d want negotiating for us.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Kurt Rosenhauer, Chapman Hall Realtors
Last verified: September 2026
“Kurt came to real estate from a decade in non-profit work, and it shows in how he handles people: patient, organized, and not pushy. For buyers and sellers north of the city who want the process handled calmly, he’s our referral.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Trey Newton, Keller Knapp Realty
Last verified: September 2026
“Trey has a building-construction degree and fourteen years in the trade before he ever sold a house, so his pre-listing advice is about which repairs actually move the price: the same list we’d write. For investors and anyone buying a house that needs work, he’s the agent we send.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Lawn Care & Landscaping
Where the line is: We build and repair fences, gates, railings and decks. Mowing, beds, hardscape, seasonal cleanups and anything that needs a crew every week goes to a landscaping company.
Grantlanta Lawn
Last verified: September 2026“Grantlanta is the crew behind The Southern Shmooze, the same neighbor network we’re a certified member of, so we’ve watched how they treat people for years. Intown yards, all-electric options if you want them, and they actually answer the estimate request.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Custom Apparel & Uniforms
Where the line is: Not a home-service trade, this is a vendor we use ourselves. Our crew shirts are printed here, and enough property managers, HOAs and small-business customers have asked where we get them that it earned a spot.
TeeShirt Slogans
Last verified: September 2026“Every Your Handyman Atlanta shirt you’ve seen on a technician came from TeeShirt Slogans. Clean embroidery, quick turnaround, and they’ll tell you straight which print method will actually hold up on a work shirt.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Attorneys
Where the line is: For most of our customers the house is the biggest thing they own. We keep it in good shape; a will or trust decides who it goes to, and when life goes sideways you want a lawyer who returns calls. Enough long-time customers have asked us for a name that it earned a spot here.
Mackintosh Law
Last verified: September 2026“Brooks does one thing, estate planning, and charges a flat fee for it, so you know the cost before the first meeting. He explains trusts in plain English, which is rarer than it should be. If you own a home in Atlanta and don’t have a will yet, this is the call.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
DeWoskin Law Firm
Last verified: September 2026
“Dan is also the broker at Schmidt’s Creek Realty, at the same Decatur address, so we’ve known him a long time. If you’ve been hurt in a wreck, or you’re being sued over a debt and don’t know where to start, the first conversation is free and he’ll tell you honestly whether you have a case.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Chiropractic & Wellness
Where the line is: Hauling drywall and crouching under sinks all day is hard on a body. This is who our crew sees when it catches up with them, and customers have asked.
Dr. Tracey Huffman, Unlimited Chiropractic
Last verified: September 2026
“Not a crack-and-go office. Dr. Huffman works with the nervous system, takes time to explain what she’s doing and why, and offers membership pricing so regular care doesn’t turn into a surprise bill.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Dr. Andrea Pack, Movement As Medicine
Last verified: September 2026
“Our work is hard on backs and knees, and Andrea’s approach is the opposite of a quick fix: slow, deliberate movement that teaches your body to stop bracing. She comes at it as a neuroscientist, so you get the why along with the exercises, and she works in person or over video.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
Insurance
Where the line is: Before a roof claim, a water-damage claim, or a rental you’re about to buy, it’s worth knowing what your policy actually covers. Byron is who we send customers to for that conversation. And if you work with your hands for a living, David is the one to talk to about what happens to your income when you can’t.
Byron Hooper, Securely Insurance
Last verified: September 2026“Byron is an independent agent, which means he shops fifty-plus carriers instead of selling you one. He’s the person we send homeowners to when they find out after a storm what their policy didn’t cover, and he’s helped small contractors we know get properly insured and bonded.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
David Howington, Aflac
Last verified: September 2026
“Our crew is on ladders and under sinks all day; one bad fall and the paychecks stop. David set up supplemental coverage that pays cash when someone’s hurt or out sick, and he’ll do the same for a small business or a single family. Straight answers, no hard sell.”Brendon Ford, Owner, Your Handyman Atlanta
About These Referrals
You contract directly with each provider. Every company on this page is an independent business. Your Handyman Atlanta is not a party to your agreement with them, does not set their pricing, and does not warranty their work. Our $20,000 NeighborVerified guarantee, bond and insurance cover work performed by Your Handyman Atlanta only.
No one pays to be listed. There are no referral fees, sponsorships or paid placements on this page. A company is here because we’ve referred customers to them and would do it again.
One affiliated company. Atlanta Ridge Roofing is our roofing brokerage. It’s marked as affiliated on its card, and you contract with it directly like everyone else here. We list it because it’s where we send every roofing job, and we say so because you deserve to know.
What “last verified” means. On that date we confirmed the company’s website, phone number and the licensing, insurance or certifications they state publicly. Licenses lapse and businesses change hands, so for state-licensed trades (electrical and plumbing) you can confirm current status yourself through the Georgia Secretary of State before work begins, and you should always ask for a current certificate of insurance.
Don’t see a category? HVAC, pest and wildlife, tree removal, appliance repair and structural engineering aren’t listed yet because we only add a company once we’ve seen their work more than once. Call or text us and we’ll tell you honestly whether we know someone.
The Work We Do Handle
Most of what breaks in an Atlanta home is still a handyman job. Drywall, doors, windows, decks, rotted trim, TV mounts, painting, punch lists, that’s us, at $125 per hour with no flat-rate padding. Not sure which side of the line your job is on? Send a photo and we’ll tell you in the same reply whether it’s us or one of the companies above.
Still Not Sure Who To Call?
Send us a photo or a quick description. If it’s handyman work, we’ll book it. If it’s one of the trades above, we’ll point you to the right company and tell you what to ask for. We typically respond within 15 minutes during normal business hours.
