Midtown Atlanta Handyman Services
Condos, High-Rises & the Bungalow Blocks East of Piedmont
Midtown is two neighborhoods for a handyman. West of Piedmont Avenue it is high-rise and mid-rise condos, apartments and offices, where the work is mounting, shelving, hardware and punch lists on concrete and steel-stud walls with a building manager’s rules to follow. East of Piedmont, on the streets toward Virginia-Highland, it is 1900s–1920s bungalows and Craftsman houses with the porch, window and plaster repairs any old house needs. We do both, and we know which tools to bring to which side of the street.

What We Typically Repair in Midtown
In the towers and mid-rises, almost every job starts with the wall. Demising walls are usually concrete or block; interior partitions are steel studs; some newer buildings use a mix. A TV, a floating shelf or a wall cabinet needs the right anchor for the right substrate and a level, careful install that won’t leave the building’s next owner with a damaged wall. Cord concealment depends on the wall: in-wall routing in steel-stud partitions, surface raceways painted to match on concrete. Beyond mounting, condo owners call us for closet systems, door hardware and closers, drywall touch-ups, caulk, bathroom accessories and the punch lists that come with a new purchase or a lease turnover.
East of Piedmont the housing changes to bungalows and Craftsman homes built in the first decades of the last century, and the list changes with it: porch columns and beam ends, window sills and original sashes, plaster cracks, tall doors that don’t latch and back decks that need railings. It is the same work we do in Virginia-Highland and Inman Park, a few blocks away.
Midtown’s offices, restaurants and street-level retail bring commercial requests too: door closers and locks, tenant-turn drywall and paint, shelving and display fixtures, and the recurring repairs a busy space generates. Our commercial handyman page explains how we work with property managers.

Learn MoreBefore You Book: Getting Work Done in a Midtown Building
Ask your building what it requires
Many condo and apartment buildings require a certificate of insurance naming the building, a reserved freight elevator, and work only within set hours. Send us those requirements with your booking. We carry general liability and workers’ compensation coverage and can plan the visit around the building’s rules.
Tell us what your walls are made of
If you know your interior walls are steel stud or your exterior walls are concrete, say so. If you don’t, a photo of an existing hole or outlet box helps. It changes which anchors and tools we bring for a TV, shelf or cabinet mount.
Bundle the move-in list
TV, shelves, curtain rods, artwork, a closet system and a few touch-ups in one visit is the most economical way to use hourly billing, and it means one elevator reservation instead of four.

Midtown Handyman FAQs
Can you mount a TV on a concrete wall in my Midtown condo?
Yes. We use masonry anchors rated for the TV’s weight and a level, plumb install. Cord concealment on concrete usually means a surface raceway painted to match; on steel-stud partitions we can often route in the wall. Tell us the wall type if you know it.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance for my building?
We carry general liability and workers’ compensation insurance. Tell us what your building management requires when you book so we can confirm it before the visit.
Do you work in the historic houses east of Piedmont?
Yes. Porch and sill wood rot, original window repair, plaster cracks and door adjustments are the same work we do in Virginia-Highland and Inman Park.
What is the trip charge for Midtown?
$50. Midtown (30308 and 30309) is in our primary service area. Labor is $125 per hour with a one-hour minimum, billed for the time actually worked.
Can you handle repairs at my Midtown office or storefront?
Yes. Door hardware and closers, drywall and paint between tenants, shelving and fixtures, and recurring maintenance are common commercial requests. See our commercial handyman services page for details.
